Kapamilya actress Kira Balinger looked radiant as she graced the launch of Avignon Clinic’s AvignonNBright event on Wednesday, May 21, at its Alabang branch.
In an interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Kira opened up about how she takes care of her skin despite the demands of showbiz.
“Honestly, ang lawak po talaga nun,” she began. “But I truly believe that, you know, beauty radiates from within. You have to start from inside if you want to be confident and beautiful and glowing on the outside. So, I achieved that through, you know, just really making time for myself. Like eating healthy. Trying to squeeze in a quick workout. And when it comes to topicals naman, I really just use moisturizer. Toner, moisturizer. That's really it. Less is more.”
Known for her "face card," Kira was asked for her secret to keeping it flawless. She light-heartedly answered, “Happiness,” and reiterated, “Just eating a balanced diet and really making time for yourself, aside from happiness, of course.”
Further, Kira shared a beauty hack that works for her. “What works for me— I don't share this with a lot of people—I use ice on my face when I wake up and sometimes before going to bed. It closes the pores. That works for me.”
Meanwhile, having participated in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, Kira reflected on her most unforgettable moment inside the house.
“That was when we were, ano, ‘nung pinarusahan po kami. ‘Yung parusa namin was to be a human pen,” she recalled. “When we were doing it, it was so incredibly humiliating. But now when I look back, it's so funny. Honestly, that was one memory na sobrang I will bring that with me years from now and I will look back and laugh on it… It just taught me how to respect the rules,” Kira added.
When asked about her dream Big 4 housemates, Kira proudly named her picks: “Right now, my big four is si Ralph, si Esnyr, si AZ, and, of course, ang baby girl ko, si Charlie.”
Explaining her choices, Kira said, “They're all working so incredibly hard inside that house. I know that they're giving it their 100%. They're using love when it comes to everything that they do. And they really do deserve this spot. Sobrang bait po nila. And I really believe in them. And I'm so proud of them no matter how far they go. Big 4 or not.”
