Currently in town promoting her series Nine Perfect Strangers, Dolly De Leon will soon be heading back to the US to shoot her latest international project, Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, which starts shooting in August. In the American series, she will play the role twins Lo and Li, who are the firebending mentors to Azula, princess of the Fire Nation.
“I’m extremely excited and honored to be part of an iconic live action version of an animated cult classic. It’s my first time to play twins, which is the best fun in a creative process. It’s a dream come true,” shared by the CreaZion Studios artist.
During the Nine Perfect Strangers viewing party last May 21, Dolly shared with PUSH ABS-CBN that it was perfect for her to be cast in the well-loved American animated fantasy action television series because she was already a fan of the story.
“Nung pandemic ng 2020 I watched it so I was very familiar with the series. Pinanuod ko lahat. Pinanuod ko yung buong animated series. Pinanuod ko rin yung live-action. Nag binge watch ako. Sobrang ganda,” she admitted.
