With her latest horror film Untold finally being shown to Filipino audiences inside and outside the country, lead star Jodi Sta. Maria couldn’t help but take a look back and share her journey with the movie making process from last year until the movie’s star-studded red carpet premiere night held last April 29. The 42-year-old actress plays the role of ambitious exposé reporter Vivian Vera in director Derick Cabrido’s latest film.

In her Instagram post last April 30, Jodi shared snapshots from when she started officially working on the project which came at the same time she was also starring in the hit primetime series Lavender Fields last year. In her post, she wrote:

"LOOKING BACK AT UNTOLD

A journey of grace, grit, and gratitude.

2024

• First script reading with the cast

• Character look test followed shortly after

• Juggled Untold and Lavender Fields — still don’t know how I survived both physically & emotionally… Only by God’s grace (and lots and lots of caffeine 😁)

Grateful for:

• The amazing cast

• Derick Cabrido’s guidance

• The whole team who gave their all

• Regal Entertainment for the opportunity

Post-shoot:

• Promo & marketing time

• Sharing snaps that didn’t make it to the final promo mats

• Beside the ever-fab Ms. U - Gloria Diaz

April 29, 2025:

• UNTOLD Premiere Night — my heart is full. Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed love. Alam niyo kung sino kayo 🤍✨

• My glam team for that night - for making me look pretty."

In the same post, Jodi also revealed what she considered the most intense scene to shoot out of the entire film, which involved her character encountering lots of eerie and frightening things.

“Most intense scene?

• The pit scene. Yung sigaw ko for help was real. Namutla ako after — no acting required!

• Sabit sa construction site scene — nakakalula ha.”
