As part of the cast of two Metro Manila Film Festival entries this year, content creator and actress Sassa Gurl admitted that it was a big challenge for her juggling two major movie projects with the same release date. The outspoken artist shared why it was actually a good problem to have, having been entrusted to be part of major productions.

“In fairness, nakakapagod talaga pala siya and mas nakakapagod pag na-release na kasi ang hirap, daming promote promote at saka siyempre hindi ko alam kung saang float ako sasakay (sa MMFF parade). Kasi dalawa, nakakaloka. Sobrang happy ako na nagkaroon ako ng someone na mag-me-mentor sa akin along the way,” she said.

During the last day of her shoot for Shake, Rattle, & Roll: Evil Origins, Sassa Gurl recalled pushing through with work despite running a high fever.

Nagkasakit ako after nung shinoot namin yung Shake, Rattle, & Roll. Yung last day yung temperature ko ay nasa 40 na. So talagang pinu-push na lang talaga yung last day.

As part of the cast to the sequel to the original 2017 film Bar Boys, Sassa said that she would show her more serious side in this film.

“Kasi mga law student kami dito. Talagang seryoso talaga. So sabi ko, ‘Sige nga, let’s give it a try kung mag-we-work.

So ayun, yun yung inisip ko.

In Shake, Rattle, & Roll: Evil Origins, Sassa Gurl gets to flex her comedic skill, which is what gained her a loyal following online even before she joined showbiz.
