MANILA -- Miguel Vergara and Princess Aliyah were revealed Wednesday as housemates for "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0," as the program continues to unveil its roster of participants for the upcoming season.
The two were introduced in a report on GMA's "24 Oras."
Aliyah, a 17-year-old Sparkle talent, chose to join "Pinoy Big Brother" over a project in GMA where she was supposed to have a lead role.
"Once in a lifetime opportunity lang po ito," she said in an interview with the primetime newscast.
"Parang mas nag-take ako ng risk kasi 'di talaga ako risk-taker, parang mas gusto ko mag-play safe... Sabi ko bago ako mag-18 [years old], gusto ko maka-try ng something exciting," she said, explaining her decision to join the show.
Meanwhile, Vergara from Star Magic was a former child actor.
"New experience naman and I get to meet new people, so that intrigued me a lot, so I said yes [to joining the program]," Vergara said.
The pair join Star Magic's Joaquin Arce and Sparkle's Sofia Pablo, who were the first housemates to be unveiled.
Set to premiere on October 25 at 6:05 p.m., "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" marks the second collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA for the long-running reality program.
After its premiere, the show will air weeknights at 9:40 p.m., Saturdays at 6:15 p.m. and Sundays at 10:05 p.m.
The first "Celebrity Collab Edition", which aired earlier this year, featured Kapamilya and Kapuso celebrities teaming up in pairs. In the end, the duo of Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo emerged as the winners.
