A documentary film on Filipino rock band Eraserheads is set to be released in March this year.

Global Entertainment company Warner Bros. Pictures, which will be the film's distributor, posted the trailer for Eraserheads: Combo on the Run on Monday, January 6. Produced and directed by Maria Diane Ventura, the film will be in cinemas nationwide from March 21 to 23.

As per report by CinemaBravo, Eraserheads: Combo reveals the story of the band's breakup and their journey to reunite for a landmark 2022 concert, which became a symbol of hope during a time of political division and uncertainty.

Fans online were quick to express their excitement about the film.

"I AM SEATED!" one fan commented.

"Solid 'to ha lalo sa batang '90s," another fan wrote.

Film director Diane remarked that the film is "a comprehensive deconstruction of the band’s mythology, humanity, complex relationship and the lasting mark they left on Filipino culture—one that transcends generations and differences."

The filmmaker expressed her appreciation for the band members' openness during the filming. "Their candidness and forthright honesty were a gift. It wasn’t just cathartic for them; it was transformative for me as a filmmaker and audience member. It gave me permission to reflect on my own truths, and I hope it does the same for others," she stated.

Eraserheads: Combo On The Run is presented by Dvent Pictures and WEU, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Composed of Ely Buendia, Raymund Marasigan, Marcus Adoro, and Buddy Zabala, Eraserheads released their debut album Ultraelectromagneticpop! in 1993, which gained critical acclaim and massive sales.

Among their hit tracks throughout their career include "Ang Huling El Bimbo," "Ligaya," "Pare Ko," and "With a Smile," among others.

Last year, the band went on a world tour which included stops in North America, Canada, and Dubai.

"We love touring, we love going to new places and even the old places that we’ve gone to. There’s always something new. We love to make new friends and acquaintances on tour. Just the experience of being on the road and playing music for the fans is always something to look forward to," Ely remarked in an interview last year.
