MANILA -- South Korean actor Park Sung-hoon took time out to invite his Filipino fans to watch the movie "Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital," which is the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean film "Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum," where he originally starred.
In a video sent to ABS-CBN News on Thursday by PublicityAsia and Reality MM Studios, Park expressed his excitement that the Korean film has been adapted for Filipino audiences. "Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital" stars Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil.
The Korean actor also hopes for the success of "Strange Frequencies," an entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
"As an actor from the original film, I'm absolutely thrilled. Just as 'Gonjiam' was a great success in Korea, I sincerely hope that 'Strange Frequencies' will achive great success in the Philippines as well. Wishing you all the best. Fighting!" said Park as translated in English.
Park is also known for his roles in the hit Korean dramas "The Glory" and "Queen of Tears."
"Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital" is dubbed as the Philippines' first meta found footage horror movie. It follows a group of amateur ghost hunters who will explore Xinglin Hospital, an abandoned building located in Taiwan's West Central District.
"Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital" also stars Jane de Leon, Alexa Miro, Rob Gomez, beauty queen MJ Lastimosa, tarot reader Raf Pineda, and content creator Ryan "Zarckaroo" Azurin.
It will hit cinemas nationwide beginning Christmas Day, December 25.
