Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have gone their separate ways after nearly three years together.
According to a report by PEOPLE, the split was an amicable decision.
"It's amicable. They gave it a lot of time and careful consideration and decided to go their separate ways," a source told PEOPLE.
The source added that the former couple remain friends.
"They are still friends and very supportive of one another. They have been quietly broken up for several months," the source shared.
Ariana and Ethan were first romantically linked in July 2023.
Back in November 2025, a source told PEOPLE that despite their busy schedules, they were both "incredibly supportive of each other's careers."
Both starred in the films Wicked and Wicked: For Good.
Ariana is currently headlining her The Eternal Sunshine Tour.
In an interview on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast in November 2025, Ariana revealed that the tour might be her last concert tour for quite some time.
"The last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up. I don’t want to say anything definitive. I do know that I'm very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time," she remarked.
She added that she intends to make the tour unforgettable. "I'm going to give it my all and it’s going to be beautiful. I think that’s why I'm doing it because I'm like, 'One last hurrah!'" she remarked.
The tour kicked off following the conclusion of Ariana's journey in the Wicked films.
In an interview with E! News last January, the singer-actress reflected on the end of her Wicked journey.
"It feels actually really beautiful. I think we are really proud of what we have done and it was an amazing chapter and now we have given it to the world and get to let them have it and enjoy it and yeah it feels peaceful. It feels good," she remarked.
Meanwhile, Ethan recently starred in the theater production Marcel on the Train, which ran from February to March.
