Ariana Grande announced that she is set to release a new album.

The pop star revealed on her Instagram page on Tuesday, April 28 (PH time), that her new record Petal will drop on July 31.

Fans online were quick to react to the announcement.

"I’m so ready!" one fan commented.

"OMG we’re here!!!" another fan wrote.

In a report by Variety, Ariana shared that Petal is an album that reflects "something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging."

Ariana executive produced and co-wrote the record with Swedish-Persian producer Ilya. Based on its listing on Spotify, Petal will feature 12 tracks.

Ariana previously released the album Eternal Sunshine and is set to headline the The Eternal Sunshine Tour beginning in June.

"I'm grateful to work and I'm excited for the tour," Ariana previously said in an interview with E! News.

The singer added that preparations were already underway "I've been working on the setlist for months now and it's on a good place but we will never know until we get into the rehearsals which is starting very soon and we put things on their feet if it will make sense or not. But TBD (to be determined), I want to let it be a surprise," she stated.

In an interview on the Good Hang hosted by Amy Poehler in November 2025, Ariana shared that her upcoming The Eternal Sunshine Tour could be her last tour for a while.

"The last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up. I don’t want to say anything definitive. I do know that I'm very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time," she said.

She added that she plans to make the experience truly special.

"I'm going to give it my all and it’s going to be beautiful. I think that’s why I'm doing it because I'm like, 'One last hurrah!'" she stated.
