Actress and host Dimples Romana has reached a personal milestone: buying her first car intended for her sole use, after three decades of hard work.
Dimples has been busy and active in the industry for years, working on one project after the other as an actress, host, endorser, content creator, and entreprenuer, among others. She has been quite vocal on her investments and her business ventures, sharing the planning and thought that goes behind them. Dimples has practiced diligence and discipline in her finances, but this time around, she also normalizes treating one’s self as well.
On social media, Dimples shared the first time she chose a car for herself. She revealed the two-seater sports car, a Mazda Miata MX 5 RF, in her vlog.
“For 30 long years na nagtatrabaho ako, the car that I would always buy would be shared with my family. But this time, I’m buying this for only one person because there’s only two seats for the car, so I can only date one. For example si Papa Boyet, si Callie or si Alonzo or si Elio kapag lumaki na or whoever one friend I’m going to be driving with,” she said in the video.
The actress went all out by going with a bolder color for her vehicle. She also took the chance to ask her followers for ideas on what name to give her new car.
“Please help me decide the name na of the car, pero syempre dapat bagay sa color na binili ko. Hint lang na all the cars I bought in the past were all white but this time I’m being brave and I’m going with my power color,” she stated.
The bright red sports car is reminiscent of the red lipstick and viral red outfit she sported as primera kontrabida Daniela Mondragon, from the hit series Kadenang Ginto. It comes as no surprise that Dimples is considering naming her car after her iconic character.
“#OhDani Hindi muna maleta ang kasama kong magtravel this time, Ikaw na 🚗 Shall we name her Daniela or Dani Girl? 💃🏽,” she captioned her post.
Fans and personalities extended their message for the actress in the comment section.
“Grabe yung color ang ganda. Perfect paired sa red stilettos at red na maleta. winner!“, commented one fan.
Another one expressed, “Ang ganda ng car maaa, i love the color very Daniela Mondragon ang vibe. Cuteee! Congratulations, mama! You deserve that! 👏🏻🙌🏻.”
“So happy for you Dimps!! Sobrang kabog ❤️❤️❤️ Hope to see you in car meets,” said Macoy Dubs, who is as known as a car enthusiast as he is a comedian.
Dimples’ husband, Boyet Ahmee also suggested going on a La Union trip with her new car, a plan which Dimples readily said yes to.
In the caption, Dimples also wrote how proud she was to fulfill her dream. Even better was knowing that it was the fruit of years of honest labor.

Now that her eldest daughter has graduated and has already started working, Dimples feels more at ease with the decision to finally spend her hard-earned money on herself.
“Hard work truly pays off. And now that our unica hija finally graduated and has been employed, I don’t feel guilty buying things for me anymore 🥹🥰 (every bread winner can relate, I’m sure),” she added. “Now time to drive and date my family and those closest to me ❤️”
She ended her message celebrating the moment, writing: “dreams do come true, if only we work hard enough, be patient enough and best done with our integrity kept intact 🚗😘🔥”
