Long before becoming a content creator and rising actor, social media personality Fonz spent nearly three years behind the scenes as part of Kris Aquino’s production team.
Starting out as a production assistant before eventually becoming a Junior Producer, Fonz found himself in a career opportunity he never expected. His journey with Kris began after a viral Facebook skit caught the Queen of All Media’s attention, leading to a job offer straight from Kris herself.
Looking back on those years, Fonz shared during an interview on Your Honor on May 23 one of the most unforgettable memories that continues to stand out among the many experiences he had while working under Kris.
“Kasi nung bago ako kay Madam (Kris), binigyan niya ako ng chance para [ma-interview] on-cam sa vlog niya. Tatanungin niya lang like ‘Kamusta ka na?’ ganiyan [habang] kumakain kami ng mga snacks.”
Known to many as expressive and detail-oriented, Kris discussed his appearance and did not hold back, making a remark about Fonz’s makeup.
“Pagpasok ko sabi niya, ‘Ang kapal talaga ng foundation mo,’” Fonz recalled, drawing laughter from the studio.
Rather than taking offense, Fonz admitted that he thought of the comment as Kris’s unique way of showing affection and comfortability with the people around her.
“Nakakatawa kasi hindi ako na-offend. Parang feeling ko ‘yun yung endearment [niya].”

The humorous encounter, however, did not end with Kris’s blunt observation as she helped him look his best, even seeking assistance from her friend and professional celebrity makeup artist RB Chanco.
“Sabi niya parang ‘RB ituro niyo kay Fonz yung tamang shade [ng foundation] niya,” Fonz said while laughing.
What made the moment even more memorable for him was her generosity, saying: “Tapos binigyan niya ako ng pera pambili ng makeup,” Fonz said.
Beyond that lighthearted story, Fonz also said that he personally witnessed Kris’s kindness toward her staff throughout the years they worked together.
Asked during the interview if Kris was generous, he answered without hesitation: “Very, very much.”
According to Fonz, she made sure that everyone on set remained comfortable and well-fed, allocating food budgets far beyond what he later realized was common in the industry.
“Kasi ako yung naka-toka sa pagbili ng pagkain for the entire set, so ‘yung budget namin doon is malayo pala doon sa norm ng industry...malaki [ang budget] for food.”
“Nakakatuwa lang. Nung umalis na ako kay Madam, doon ko na-realize [na] grabe pala sa production namin, ang swerte-swerte namin,” he maintained.
For Fonz, the nearly three years he spent working with Kris became more than just a professional chapter. Amid his growing success as a content creator and actor, he still regards his time with the Queen of All Media as one of the “best job” experiences he has ever had.
