Erwan Heussaff is completely at ease with his wife, Anne Curtis, being paired with a leading man on-screen.

Anne, who has been part of the entertainment industry for nearly three decades, has built a career through various notable roles, many of which paired her with a leading man. For Erwan, however, those portrayals have never been a source of jealousy or insecurity.

In an interview with Matteo Guidicelli on Matteo G. Primetime, Erwan spoke candidly about his confidence in Anne’s on-screen partnerships, stressing that her work in entertainment and the demands that come with it are something he has respected since the beginning.

Asked how he feels whenever his wife is partnered with another actor, Erwan gave a straightforward answer.

“Totally fine,” he confidently said. “I met Anne she was already doing all these movies.”

According to Erwan, he remains comfortable with Anne taking on romantic pairings on-screen, viewing it simply as part of her profession rather than something that threatens their relationship.

Still, he admitted there are moments that can feel awkward not because of Anne’s scenes, but because of how people around him expect him to react.

“The only time I get awkward is if I'm in the movie house and it always happens, people know I'm there.”

Erwan then recalled a recent experience during the block screening of Anne’s 2026 romance film The Loved One, in which she starred opposite Jericho Rosales as her leading man.

Before the screening began, Erwan said he candidly warned his staff against reacting to Anne and Jericho’s romantic scenes or looking toward him for a response.

“Like I did a block screening for her last movie and my whole staff was there. And because it was block screening I told my whole staff before the movie started I said, 'If during the kiss scene, 'cause I know there's a love scene here, between Anne and Jericho, if anyone looks at me during this scene, you're fired.'”

Despite the lighthearted warning, one member of his team still reacted during the scene.

“And so I was sitting there and I have a chef and then the love scene happens, so he's like shifting, he goes "Big boss, big boss, I'm so angry. I'm so angry for you right now.' I was like thank you, that's what I asked you not to do. I didn't fire him,” he recalled.

“But, that's the only time that I get awkward is when people try to look for your reaction, but I'm completely fine with it,” he maintained. "Never hurt," he added.

Asked where his confidence comes from, Erwan pointed to the reality that Anne had already been doing this kind of work long before they became a couple.

“She was already doing it when we weren't even dating yet. So who am I to kind of tell her what to do or change who she is or anything like that, right?”

He likened Anne’s acting career to his own work in the culinary world, emphasizing that professions should be respected for what they are.

“It's like her asking me to stop cooking. Right, I know it's very different, but if you look at it as part of a job, it is a job, right? And that's fine.”

During the interview, Erwan also opened up about what he believes is the secret behind their lasting marriage.

“I think for us, it’s really respect. It’s not trying to change who we are, who you were. Obviously, as people, you wanna challenge each other and kinda grow together and evolve. [But] it doesn’t mean someone can’t change,” he said.

“If you decide to marry a person, you’re marrying that person in that moment — and whatever comes with that person, right?” he added.

Following his remarks, many netizens praised Erwan for his openness and mature perspective on marriage and relationships.

“Anne Curtis - favorite ka ni Lord talaga 😅 Erwan the ultimate green flag without trying to be one. hoy husbands take a page out of Erwan's book!” one commented.

“That is a freakin secured man. No insecurity pure maturity,” another added.

Anne and Erwan tied the knot in Queenstown, New Zealand in 2017. In 2020, Anne gave birth to their daughter, Dahlia.
