A month after his standout finish in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, Kapuso 2nd Big Placer Heath Jornales shared his reaction to being called ‘little brother’ by Kapuso Big Winner Caprice Cayetano.

The two, who became instant fan favorites during their stay inside the house, sparked a wave of kilig among viewers who quickly coined their tandem as “CapEath.” Their natural chemistry and easygoing dynamic drew overwhelming support online, with many hoping their connection would blossom into something more beyond the show.

However, fans were left divided when Caprice described Heath as a “little brother” in early March, reducing expectations of a romantic pairing and emphasizing her desire to pursue a solo path as an actress.

In an interview on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel, Heath offered a grounded and simple explanation behind the label, pointing to his role inside the house.

“Ako po kasi ‘yung pinakabunso sa bahay, so pagpasok po doon ayun na po tingin ng lahat sa akin. Matic na po ‘yun kasi ako ‘yung 16-year-old doon and everyone was 17 na, late 17 years old pataas na. Kaya little brother po talaga ‘yung tingin nila sa akin,” he explained.

He added that his personality also played a role in how Caprice and the other housemates viewed him. “Lalo na po ‘yung galawan ko doon sa bahay, para talagang bata na sobrang mahiyain sa una tapos sa dulo, ang kulit ko naman. Kaya parang little brother po talaga ‘yung tingin sa akin ng lahat.”

Despite the buzz, Heath clarified that Caprice’s statement did not signal the end of their pairing, nor did it create any tension between them. “I don’t think naman naman na tinapos niya po. We’re all friends naman po sa bahay, there’s nothing crazy naman. Wala naman pong nangyayari, we’re all just chilling po. Nagulat rin po kaming dalawa na meron pong ship po sa amin pero anything that happens naman po, I’m G (go) lang naman po din.”

For Heath, respect comes first, especially when it comes to Caprice’s career choices. The young actor openly supported her aspiration to focus on being a solo artist rather than committing to a love team.

“I respect Caprice’s choice po na gusto niya maging solo. I’m totally fine with that. I’m really proud of her po sa mga nagawa niya and na-build niya po. I’m really for her. It’s fine na maging solo po siya [at] maging solo rin po ako. I’m just really happy sa lahat po ng nangyari.”

Still, the possibility of “CapEath” is not entirely off the table. Heath acknowledged that their future as a tandem ultimately lies in the hands of their management, especially after GMA Network confirmed that the two will star in an upcoming series, details of which remain under wraps.

“[It also] depends po sa plans ng management [kung itutuloy nila’yung CapHeath]. I’m fine naman with anything. Open naman po [ako],” he stated.

Heath also said that instead of love, he is currently choosing to focus on his growth, craft, and the path ahead.

“Mas naka-focus po ako ngayon sa sarili ko po. ‘Yung career ko, ‘yung passions ko, ‘yung mga hobbies ko, I don’t want to forget that. And I’m still working on them to improve for the future. When the time is right, I guess God will provide po.”
