Actress and comedienne Tuesday Vargas has reached a new milestone in her career after successfully staging her first-ever performance aboard a cruise ship following her appeal for work.
The breakthrough comes just weeks after Tuesday took to social media in early February to openly seek job opportunities. At the time, she reached out to friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry, appealing to filmmakers, producers, and writers as she continued working hard to support her family.
Soon after making the honest post, Tuesday began receiving various offers for gigs. One of those opportunities eventually led her to a stage at a cruise ship.
On March 7, Tuesday reflected on the moment through a Facebook post, sharing how her willingness to be transparent about her situation opened doors she had been looking for. For the comedienne, the experience felt both a blessing and a “dream come true.”
“The Lord said, ask and you shall receive. I was very forthcoming when I said I needed work,” she wrote.
“I am not destitute, I am just a mother who is seeking for an honest day’s labor so I can continue to earn from performing which is a passion of mine. One fine day, I took to social media and I posted to offer my services. And lo and behold, today I did my first cruise ship performance in a theater filled to the brim,“ she shared.
Tuesday also recalled an emotional moment during the show, saying she was moved to tears while performing one of her songs and attributed it to feeling a powerful sense of faith while on stage.
“I know he was there with me, assuring me that he is a loving God and that he will always provide for those that remain faithful despite the many hardships we face,” she explained.

She also expressed gratitude to the people who helped bring the show together, particularly those who stood with her on stage and those who made the cruise performance possible.
With the milestone behind her, Tuesday shared that the cruise performance is only the beginning of a series of shows abroad this year. She revealed that she is scheduled to perform in several countries abroad – opportunities she said came after she bravely declared her willingness to work.
“Today marks a first of many shows abroad. I will be in Canada, the US, EU and Australia this year all because I was honest enough to say- IM A GOOD WORKER, BOOK ME,” she shared.
Reflecting on her journey, Tuesday also shared a message of perseverance and faith, encouraging others who may be facing their own struggles.
“So moral of the story is, whenever we feel like we have lost our battles, let’s keep our heads high and ask the Lord for provisions. We also pray that when we get the blessings, that we are also bestowed the wisdom to keep the abundance. God is really good! Thank you po sa lahat ng mga pasahero ng Costa! Naiyak po ako sa kabaitan ninyo. Hanggang sa ating muling pagkikita,” she maintained.
“Mabuhay ang mga lumalaban sa buhay. Padayon!” Tuesday concluded.
Following her post, many netizens quickly flooded the comments section with praise and words of encouragement, with some sharing that they personally witnessed her performance on the cruise.
“You’ve made our cruise experience genuinely memorable. The show was great ‘cause you guys are incredibly talented. Your tears during your story time was deeply felt and we really understand that as parents ourselves,” one wrote.

In a separate update, Tuesday revealed that she was set to return to the cruise ship stage once again due to insistent public demand, expressing gratitude to God for the continued opportunities.
Before her cruise performance, the comedienne also said that she recently hosted a children’s party for the first time at a popular fast food chain, another job she happily embraced.
Meanwhile, Tuesday previously acknowledged that her public appeal for work drew mixed reactions online. While many expressed concern for her and her family, some critics claimed that she had faded from the spotlight. She addressed this claim with honesty and humility.
“Gumigising ako ngayon nang may ngiti sa mukha ko dahil napakaganda ng naging epekto ng pagiging transparent ko sa mga tao. Uunahin ko pa ba ang pride at ego bago ang maayos na hanapbuhay? I asked nicely and with dignity. I was not looking for a handout, but instead an opportunity to use my skills that will produce income,” she wrote.
“Kaya sa mga nagsasabi ng ‘ay nag la live selling na lang kasi walang career’ - salamat sa inyo. Lalo akong nagkakaroon ng motibasyong lumaban araw-araw upang ipakita sa inyo na kailan man ay hindi nakakahiya ang marangal na hanap buhay. Lord bless all the breadwinners and those seeking for jobs that you will also smile upon them just as you did when I prayed...Salamat sa lahat po ng nagbigay sa akin ng projects at work. Amid her recent professional wins, Tuesday has also asked for prayers for her family, sharing that her son Kaya is currently “away seeking the help he needs to get better.” While she did not disclose further details, she described the situation as the “hardest thing we’ve ever faced as a family.”
Despite the challenges, Tuesday has continued to work tirelessly, from performing and hosting gigs to live-selling of various items and selling her paintings, determined to provide for her family while doing what she loves most.
