Actress Ellen Adarna broke her silence to challenge the “good provider” tag on ex-husband Derek Ramsay. In her Instagram stories, the celebrity mom shared a glimpse of what the actor’s been giving her for their daughter, Liana.
Ellen shared a TikTok post on her Instagram Stories where she called out showbiz talk show host Christy Fermin for being “misleading and unfair” on the claims about Derek’s provider role.
“What kind of foolishness is this Christy Vermin?!! The claims being made are misleading and unfair. Let’s set the record straight. Truth matters. Facts matter. And credit should always be given where it is due,” she wrote.

The celebrity mom revealed that she told Derek’s assistant that he can’t meet their daughter if he’s not financially contributing to her needs.
“I am not demanding anything beyond what is fair–– but I will not allow a father to live comfortably just cooling his balls while having little to no contribution to his child–– because he gets to see her almost everyday,” she shared.
She claimed that it was only after she called him out that she received a credit card a few weeks ago which had a credit limit of ₱50,000 –– allegedly covering only just a little over half of the total cost of their daughter’s expenses.
“That amount covers only 55.80% of the actual breakdown of Liana’s expenses that I clearly presented. Let’s be accurate about that,” she maintained.
Ellen also refuted the claims that Derek or his mother has allegedly paid for her househelpers–– even going back to when they were still living together. She claimed that she paid for it all and even had to provide for her own house.

“Neither he nor his mother has ever paid for my yayas or household staff. Not now. Not even when we were married. I paid for my own staff. I have 5 nannies, 2 are for Liana. They only paid for one nanny for Liana. I paid for my own groceries. And they did not provide a house for me–– I did that myself. Let’s not rewrite history,” she claimed.
“So please, let’s stop being delusional and stop branding someone as a 'good provider' when the numbers and reality say otherwise. A real provider doesn’t wait to be called out. He gives willingly. He takes initiative. He doesn’t rely on words, flexing, or public image. That’s it pancit. Period!” she ended.
Derek has yet to make a statement as of this writing.
