Claudine Barretto expressed her gratitude to her siblings for coming together to take care for their late mother, Estrella "Inday" Barretto.
On her Facebook page, the actress wrote: "To my Brother & all my sisters thank you 🙏 Magulo man po kami but in grief we are all united. We all did our part. JJ, Michie, Gia, G, Marjorie & all the apos pati apo sa tuhod. Pantay pantay inalagaan ang mommy. We choose peace over everything."
Claudine also thanked those who offered prayers and support to their family. "We don't need flowers. Your Prayers all mean the world to each & every one of us. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat," she said.
She ended her post with a touching farewell message for her mother. "Goodbye Mom. We will be ok. How can we not? WE ARE INDAY BARRETTO's children. The strongest most loving Mother anyone could ask for 🙏❤️," she said.
Followers of Claudine extended their condolences to her and her family via social media.
"We love you ate Clau 🫂 pakatatag ka 🙏 Condolences ulit sa buong pamilya ninyo. Rest in peace Mommy Inday 🕊️," one fan commented.
"Deepest sympathies and condolences to the whole family po 🥹😭💔 tight hugs idol," another fan wrote.
Inday passed away on Thursday, January 29, as shared by her family.
"Rest in peace, Mom. I love you," her son Joaquin posted on Facebook.
On Instagram, Claudine shared a clip featuring photos of herself and her mother who was confined to a hospital bed. "Oh Mom Estrella Castelo Barretto January 29, 2026," the actress wrote.
In another post, Claudine remarked: "Mommy We're gonna be okay. I promise!"
The family has yet to disclose the cause of Inday’s passing. She was 89 years old.
Inday had seven children with her husband, Miguel Alvir Barretto.
Three of her children—Gretchen, Marjorie, and Claudine Barretto—entered show business.
Her eldest child, Miguel Antonio, passed away in September of last year at the age of 66.
