Claudine Barretto shared her final moments with mother Inday in a social media reel. 

In an Instagram post, the actress assured her late mother that they will carry on.


“Mommy We're gonna be okay. i promise!” she wrote.

In the same video, Claudine can be seen holding her mother’s hand while the Barretto matriarch was lying in a hospital bed. At one point, Inday appeared to respond to Claudine as the actress shed tears.


In another post, Claudine shared a video featuring a series of photos with her mother in the hospital.

“Oh Mom Estrella Castelo Barretto January 29, 2026,” the actress wrote in the caption.

In a Facebook post, the actress also expressed her gratitude to her brother, Joaquin.


“My brother Joaquin Barretto thank u we still have each other,” she expressed.

Meanwhile, Joaquin previously shared photos of their mother in the hospital on January 7.


“Mom isn't okay yet. Hoping for healing,” Joaquin wrote.

On January 27, Joaquin gave an update, sharing that their mother would be transferred to the intensive care unit and that her condition was serious.


“Mom will be transferred to the ICU later, it's not good,” he shared.


Early on January 29, Joaquin shared a photo of himself and Claudine with their mother, captioned, “Get well, Mom.”


This was followed by a photo of a candle, captioned, “Rest in peace, Mom. I love you,” confirming the passing of the Barretto matriarch.

Other celebrities were quick to share their condolences with the family.

“Mahigpit na yakap,” Candy Pangilinan commented on Claudine’s post.

Actress Sharmaine Arnaiz also offered her heartfelt sympathies to the family.

“Sincere condolences Clau praying for Tita,” she wrote.

The family has not yet disclosed the cause of Inday Barretto’s passing. She was 89 years old. Her last public appearance was in an interview with Ogie Diaz in 2025.
