Just after announcing that she is expecting her first child with TV host Robi Domingo, Maiqui Pineda took to Instagram to share her message of gratitude to everyone who supported them throughout their journey. Along with her post, she proudly flaunted her growing baby bump.
On January 9, Maiqui uploaded a compilation of videos documenting her health journey. In the clips, she can be seen doing physical strength exercises, which she has been focusing on to improve her health after reaching clinical remission after battling with dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease, since 2023.

Along with the video, she shared a message of gratitude to her followers and everyone who supported them along the way.
“We just want to say thank you so much for all the love, support and prayers!! It means so much to us 🥹,” she wrote.
Reflecting on her journey, Maiqui acknowledged the challenges she faced in the past three years, saying, “The last three years challenged my mind, heart, and body in ways I never imagined. But the journey only made me realize how strong and capable I truly am. This 2026, I’m ready for my biggest challenge yet. Let’s go!! 💪🏻❤️”
Friends and followers shared their support and prayers for Maiqui’s safe pregnancy.
“So proud of your strength and resilience and the fact that you kept a smile on your face even during your darkest moments. Thank you for being an inspiration and for never giving up. You made it Maiqs!!❤️ And another exciting chapter begins. I love you!,” one shared.
“This is so so beautiful. Congratulations. ❤️,” wrote singer-lawyer Tippy Dos Santos.
“Rooting for you always Maiqui❤️,” actress Melissa Ricks added.
The couple first shared the pregnancy news on January 6 through a video posted on their Instagram accounts, marking a major milestone in their lives.
“Two years married… and now our greatest blessing is on the way. Happy 2nd anniversary! We’re ready to give you all our love ❤️,” the caption read.
The announcement video included footage from last September, showing Maiqui taking a pregnancy test and discovering she was expecting, followed by her emotional reaction and Robi’s joyful response. The clip also featured congratulatory messages from celebrity friends, including Darren Espanto, Donny Pangilinan, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Coco Martin, and members of BINI.
The pregnancy announcement also coincided with the celebration of their second wedding anniversary after their private church wedding in 2023 with family and close friends.
Back in September 2024, Robi shared his wish for parenthood during his 35th birthday.
“I'm having some birthday blues, some people say it's time na nararamdaman mo nang 'okay tumatanda ka na' but also it's a time na puwede kang mag-reflect sa buhay mo and that's what am I gonna do right now,” he said.
He added, “My plan in the next five years is to be a better husband and hopefully next year when the Lord permits it and when her condition permits it, depende sa clearance ng doctor, I hope to introduce you to a baby Robi as well or baby Maiqui or why not twins, him her.”
