Kapamilya host Robi Domingo broke his silence on the rumors circulating on social media about him allegedly blocking opportunities for other hosts to be a presenter of a certain show. In a recent interview with Jodi Sta. Maria, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate denied the allegations and maintained that he wants everyone to succeed and have their own shows as well.
Apart from PBB, Robi has hosted several Kapamilya programs such as The Voice, The Voice Kids, Idol Philippines, Idol Kids Philippines, and Pilipinas Got Talent, among others. Netizens have shared their opinions on social media and questioned whether he was the only male host available at the time or if he was blocking the opportunities for otherwise.

The Kapamilya star shared that he has read all of those comments and maintained that he is open to criticisms.
“Honestly, before, I would always read online comments kasi that’s my way of knowing if I did well or something. It’s not validation per se pero I’m a guy na gusto ko mag improve ng mag improve. I’m super eager and hungry to learn and I welcome all the criticisms,” he shared.
He added that he analyzed the bad comments and explained how hosts get chosen for some shows–– something he has no control of.
“When it comes to those types of shows, especially franchise shows, it’s really not up to me to decide it kung kukunin or hindi. It’s up to the franchisor. Let’s say Idol [Kids Philippines], ang process pala nun is ABS-CBN would give a list of hosts na pwede. Si Fremantle ang mamimili depende sa credentials,” he explained.
Robi then admitted that while he has no say on whom the franchisor chooses, he is not one to shy away from an opportunity that is presented to him.
“What if they like my profile and also pasok yung schedule? Who am I to say no to a project? Big deal yan,” he said.

However, he maintained that he has been always giving chances to others as well but circumstances are a key factor as well as to why the hosting opportunity is given to him most of the time.
“I’ve been pushing other people to do that to na kunin mo na. Sila lang yung hindi pwede yung schedule, ayaw nila yung budget, ayaw nila yung concept so wala pasensiyahan tayo,” he maintained.
“That’s my concern lang na it’s not as if binoblock ko yung iba para puro ako. No, I don’t want that to happen. I want everyone to realize their potential,” he ended.
