Kapamilya actress Jennica Garcia shared how her faith has helped her overcome challenges that she faces as a single mother. In the recent vlog of veteran broadcaster Christine Bersola-Babao on her YouTube channel earlier this week, the Saving Grace star revealed that she makes sure to give 10 percent of what she earns to the church.

Jennica has two daughters, Athena Mori and Alexis Severina, both of whom she shares with her ex-partner, Alwyn Uytingco.

The actress expressed how her faith was the first step in getting back on track for her when it comes to aligning her goals. Throughout the vlog, she maintained how her faith helped her and would be one of the first pieces of advice she would give to a fellow parent.

“I really hope you get to experience Christ at its fullest. If you don’t know where to start, the first step is to find a church near you… From there, everything else will follow. May God be with you always mommies,” she shared.

Jennica then recalled how she became faithful to her religion by giving back 10 percent of what she earns–– whether big or small. She added how she was able to attain “financial freedom” despite what others may think.

“The reason why I am saying I was able to attain financial freedom–– sakto palagi every month. Hindi umaabot sa point na kailangan kong mamobrelma kung saan ako kukuha ng mga kulang pa,” she said.

“Feeling ko that started when I became faithful with my tithing. Tithing is giving ten percent of what you earn back to the church. Para sa akin kasi, when the money comes, regardless kung yung ten percent is six digits or kung ilang lang digits lang yan–– five digits, four digits lang yan–– ang pera ko, pera ni Lord. Kung magbibigay ako ng 10% kung ano man kinita ko, pera pa rin yun ni Lord. Hindi ko siya pera,” she continued.

She then shared how parents should be careful about who they would listen to as it reflects who they are as a person.

“You are what you listen to, you are what you read, you are what you see. You want to fill your minds with things that are nourishing to your soul. Maging mindful ka,” she advised.

Meanwhile, Jennica admitted that she hasn’t been accepting any roles at the moment to put focus on her children who are on vacation.

“Since naka vacation sila, hindi na rin po muna tayo tumatanggap ng teleserye ngayon to be with the kids, to make time with them. Very happy naman kasi everyday mag kakasama kami,” she admitted.
