Netizens were once again entertained by actress and comedian Rufa Mae Quinto, whose quirky and humorous social media caption had many laughing as she shared her recent encounter with Anne Curtis and Joshua Garcia in Bacolod.
On her social media page, Rufa Mae posted photos of herself, her daughter Athena, and the two lead stars of the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the Korean hit series It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.
“My life lately… I’m so happy I woke up, Go go go sa flight ✈️ Manila -Bacolod - Bacolod - Manila last week nakita ko ang miss na miss ko ng kaibigan, sister , barkada ng dalaga pa kami, super dance and sing kami parati! Tara sing sa karaoke place nya!” she wrote.
Rufa Mae then shared a sweet moment between her daughter and Anne Curtis.
“Dear @annecurtissmith , I miss you sis!” she told Anne. “My daughter Athena learned so much tagalog tips from her! Sabi nya , 'It’s Okay not to be Okay !' ( in Tagalog )... Madali ba yun translate sa Tagalog? Ang Okay?”
She added a piece of advice Anne gave to Athena.
“Advice Nya 'Just keep speaking Tagalog, don’t worry I learned my Tagalog when I was 12 years old! Sabi ko naman' yes 👏🏻 OKay !”
Athena is Rufa Mae’s daughter with estranged husband Trevor Magallanes. In a previous post, Rufa Mae shared that her daughter is just like her but much more fluent in English.
Rufa Mae also recounted a funny exchange with Joshua Garcia, whom she met for the first time.
“Also, first time to meet @garciajoshuae , 'It’s Okay To Not Be Okay' naman ang sabi nya. Sabi ko, 'Nice to meet you OKay!'” she added.
The comedian even posed a playful question to her followers on the Tagalog word for “okay.”
“Sa Tagalog ng OKay ay OKey or OKS ba?” she asked.
She ended her post with a message ensuring that everything was fine.
“So Okay na Okey na Oks naman ang Lahat!” she said.
Her witty and chaotic storytelling sparked a wave of laughter among netizens, who found her unique writing style both confusing and hilarious.

Meanwhile, the local adaptation of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, starring Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino, officially began filming last year. The highly anticipated series is directed by blockbuster filmmaker Mae Cruz Alviar.
The cast has given fans a sneak peek into their filming experience, posting behind-the-scenes snaps from various shooting locations including Dumaguete, Siquijor, and Bacolod.
