Premier Kapamilya host Robi Domingo has been part of the ASAP family since 2008, and even after nearly 17 years on the flagship ABS-CBN show, Robi admitted that he still feels nervous every time he goes onstage.
“Actually, it's... until now, to tell the truth, kinakabahan pa rin ako whenever I step on the ASAP stage. Why? Because you are dealing with the best of the best artists,” Robi revealed in an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN.

Aside from being at the top of his game when interviewing leading artists on the ASAP stage, Robi noted how he should also make them feel comfortable.
“They're here for a big reason and excellence is the game. So when you interview them, they expect excellence as well. And you have to make them feel that they're home. That's what the host does, di ba?” he emphasized.
Robi also shared what he believes is the best part of hosting ASAP.
“Ang pinakamasarap na parte, or pinakamasarap na moment sa pagiging host ng ASAP is you get to enjoy a free concert every single Sunday. Together with these icons,” he candidly expressed.
Referred to as ‘The New Gen Host,’ Robi shared that aside from watching these Filipino icons perform and interviewing them, he also enjoys building rapport with them.
“I mean, we even invite guests to come over. I mean, di ba? Nagkakaubusan na ng tickets kina Regine, kina Piolo, sa BINI. And then here I am, sitting sa sidelines, getting the privilege to watch them for free and interview them for free. And not just that, to be able to build a relationship with them. So I really love my job,” he added.
Adding to his impressive lineup of shows is the exciting opportunity to host the latest season of Pilipinas Got Talent. Robi teased what’s in store for the much-awaited comeback of the reality talent search.
“Grabe yung dynamics ng judge ngayon. It's different. What we're offering for PGT is a new kind of flavor. Syempre, the iconic judges of Pilipinas Got Talent and also the iconic duo of PGT will (always) be there,”
He noted how he and his co-host for the new season, Melai Cantiveros, will bring something fresh to the show. He also mentioned that the judges will bring a new level of interaction and energy to the seventh season of Pilipinas Got Talent.
“Ibang atake ginawa namin ni Melai. At same time, iba naman ‘yung dynamics ng ating mga judges,” he shared.
But aside from the new hosts and judges, Robi also mentioned that the lineup of contestants and their acts are also something viewers can look forward to.
“Gusto kong sabihin din na ang ganda ng line-up of acts na mapapanood ninyo na mapapa-‘wow, may ganyan pala sa Pilipinas’. So, yeah, ang daming kailangan at dapat pakaabangan sa Pilipinas Got Talent. And I am certain that it will be aired this March,” Robi teased.
Pilipinas Got Talent makes its return after a break since its sixth season in 2018. This time, along with the new hosts, the show features a stellar lineup of powerhouse judges, including ABS-CBN boss Freddie ‘FMG’ Garcia, veteran actress-comedienne Eugene Domingo, premiere leading man Donny Pangilinan, and record-breaking blockbuster queen Kathryn Bernardo.
