The event, running from March 6-8, promises to deliver fresh ideas, expert insights, and innovation solutions to help bakers of all scales stay ahead and keep their businesses thriving.
Attendees of the fair at World Trade Center can expect an exciting mix of global and local talent, with international master bakers, chefs and other industry players.
“This event is not just a celebration of bread, cakes, and pastries. It is a testament to our unwavering faith in the future of the Philippine economy and our commitment to uplifting the entire bakery industry... In a time when the global economy faces uncertainties and our local economy struggles, BKFRED 2025 stands as a beacon of hope and progress. It is a clear expression of our belief in the long-term and positive future of the Philippines,” FCBAI President Christopher Ah said in an interview held in Quezon City.
According to Ah, the event, which will feature over 500 booths, is more than a trade show but “a movement of elevating the standards, quality, and aspirations of the local industry.
“Despite the noise and politics nor the challenges we face globally, we remain steadfast in our mission to empower our industry and contribute to the nation's growth… Bakery Fair is a celebration of creativity, innovation, and community,” he said.
With rising prices of key ingredients, the baking industry is navigating tough times. However, Bakery Fair 2025 aimed to provide solutions, with experts offering cost-saving techniques
“The industry is challenging but still exciting. We are growing, we have new innovations…At this point ang dami natin problema, taas-baba, si Bakery Fair solusyon diyan, madami international that can help us,” he said.
“For example, problem chocolate now, napakamahal. Sa bakery fair andyan professionals natin tuturuan tayo, for example, babawasan 50 percent paggamit ng butter, ngayon 'di masyado magkaka-problem sa presyo,” he added.
Ah expects delegates from all over the world and different parts pf the country to take part in the fair.
"Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan, Hongkong, Europe, iba pa. The most important mga kasamahan natin sa baking industry, Iloilo, Zamboanga, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao,” he said.
Apart from business owners, enthusiasts are also more than welcome to check over 500 booths and activities including delectable segment hosted by Rhian Ramos and Marvin Agustin.
“Si Rhian magbe-bake siya for us. Abangan ninyo on the first day. We also have Marvin Agustin, he will bring his whole team,” he teased.
The fair will also bring excitement through competitions such as Flower Masters Bird Baking Competition and the Cake Illusion Hyper-Realistic Cake Art Competition.
“We have a lot of international master bakers and chefs coming in. This is the first I think in a 360-degree spinning stage. We also have a main stage, and a demo area,” he said.
