Kapamilya actress and YouTube vlogger Ivana Alawi clarified the issue surrounding her prank vlog earlier this month. In a Facebook post, the content creator maintained that she obtained consent from the person who appeared in the vlog, which is why she didn’t blur the face out.
This comes after the person who was on her vlog was criticized on social media by his friends and other netizens for allegedly not helping out Ivana.

The actress has since cleared the air and shared that the person has actually given his help but the vlog focused on Kuya Hesus who captured the hearts of the millions of her subscribers.
“May lumabas na sinasabing dapat ko i-down dahil nakakakuha ng pambabatikos sa kanya. Pero hindi naman siya tumanggi sa ‘kin nung hiningan ko siya, sadyang naunahan lang siya ni kuya Hesus mag-abot at doon na nagfocus ang atensyon ko,” she wrote.
Before uploading her vlog, Ivana asserted that she always asks for the consent of the people involved in it and, if they don’t consent, she blurs their faces out for the sake of their privacy.
“Alam ko na kailangan magpaalam palagi sa mga ipapakita ko na hindi nakablur. Kung papanoorin mo ang latest vlog ko na ‘Buntis’, marami ang nakablur sa una at gitna dahil hindi kami humingi ng consent sa mga taong ‘yun, at alam ko na bawal silang i-post kapag ganon dahil baka mabash at majudge lang sila. Ganon din sa iba kong mga pranks, lagi namin binlu-blur,” she explained.

Ivana then shared that she has talked with the person already and showed the raw footage to him again. She revealed that there are clips that didn’t even make it to the final cut of her vlog, which she also showed to the person.
He has since then apologized to the Kapamilya actress and admitted that his friends were teasing him as he wasn’t able to take home the Php 100,000 that Ivana gave to Kuya Hesus. She calmly explained to him that the money was really destined to be given to Kuya Hesus and not to him.
“Pinakita namin sa kanya ‘yung raw footage at nakalimutan lang daw niya at humingi siya ngayon ng pasensiya. Inaasar kasi daw sya ng mga taong kakilala nya na nakapanuod ng vlog ko na sayang ang 100k na dapat sa kanya napunta pero naunahan lang daw siya, kaya sya ay nakapagpost ng ganun,” she continued.
Through her explanation, Ivana is hopeful that netizens would also learn that there are two sides of the story each time.
“Paalala na din ito sa mga taong mahilig maniwala agad sa kung ano ang nakita sa social media. Tandaan po na laging may dalawang side ang kwento,” she ended.
