Andi Eigenmann was every bit the proud parent as she supported her daughter, Lilo, in her first national surfing competition.
On their Happy Islanders YouTube channel, Andi marked the start of surfing competition season in the Philippines as her family and their surf group joined the annual tournaments.
“To those who have been watching our videos since the early days of the Happy Islanders and the very reason why we have Happy Islanders Surf Club is to sponsor and go in competitions with the boys. So now it's September and it means it's competition season again in the Philippines,” Andi said as the vlog began.

“For the first leg of the national surf competition, we are in the Pacifico for the Governor's Cup. They are ready to go to practice,” she continued.
This year, however, the competition was extra special as her six-year-old daughter Lilo entered the Junior Girls Division of the Governor’s Cup in Siargao—her first taste of a national-level tournament.
“Naiiyak na ako, wala pa nangyayari,” she shared as she cheered alongside other mothers of the junior surfers.
“We entered Lilo in this competition just for the experience. She just turned 6 years old and she is really the one who wanted to be part of the competition so why not make her try. But, this is for experience. All that matters to us is what she enjoys. Good luck!” she expressed.
With her dad, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo, preparing her gear, and Andi proudly cheering as her self-declared “water girl,” Lilo paddled out with excitement. Her younger brother, Koa, also gave his big sister a sweet cheer: “Good luck, Lilo!”
Despite being the youngest in her category, Lilo managed to catch a wave and finished third overall with a score of 3.60.

After the event, Andi lovingly reminded her daughter of what truly mattered: “Good job, Lilo! How was it? Fun? That’s what’s important—that you had fun.”
It was not only Lilo who shone in the competition. Philmar also showcased his skills, clinching first place in both his heats, a proud moment for the Happy Islanders Surf Club.
“Papa did so well, and I hope he will be able to keep it up and to all the other Happy Islanders Club as well,” Andi said.

On Instagram, the actress reflected on her role, joking that she is no longer just a “WAG” (wives and girlfriends of athletes) but now a “WAM” — a wife and mother of athletes.
“Pacifico highlights! Kicked off comp season for my family at the 2nd National Pacifico Comp.🌊 I am not just a WAG anymore, I'm a WAM! 🥰,” Andi wrote.

Lilo, who has already gained attention online for her natural surfing talent, seems to be following in her parents’ footsteps. Just last year, she received the Youngest Surfer Award at the 3rd Mayor Sol’s Invitational Surfing Cup.
