Celebrity twins Cassy and Mavy Legaspi couldn’t help but be surprised when they learned about being compared to the Muhlach twins, Atasha and Andres. In an interview with Boy Abunda earlier this week, the Kapuso actors shared that there’s no need to compare as they all have their own identities.

Cassy and Mavy are the children of Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi while Atasha and Andres are the children of Charlene Gonzalez and Aga Muhlach.

The Muhlach twins entered the showbiz industry recently through several television programs while the Legaspi twins have been acting and hosting for several years already. Both sets of twins, however, have been getting advertisements ever since they were children.

Mavy, who’s good friends with both Atasha and Andres, maintained that he and Cassy are doing their own things just like what the Muhlach twins are doing now.

“Actually, it’s the first time I’m hearing this but all I can say with that really is I’m good friends with both of them. We just laugh about it I guess and we’re so busy doing our own things I mean the twins also are doing their own things right now,” he shared.

“Cassy and I are doing our own things right now so the comparison really, if there is, is really nothing. They have their own identity, we have our own identity,” he added.

The actress then chimed in as she revealed that she just got acquainted with Atasha and Andres about a year ago. She maintained that she is happy to see them enter the industry as well and are adding more “flavor.”

“I just met them last year ba yun at an event and I was excited to meet them. I think it’s cool na they finally entered the industry and parang it adds more flavor. More twin representation [in the industry],” she maintained.

In the same interview, the Legaspi twins were asked about the feeling of being born into a showbiz family. Both of them agreed that there are advantages but asserted that sustaining and honing your skills as an actor weighs more in the showbiz industry.

“There are advantages. There are opportunities na we get of course but it’s a matter of are you able to sustain it or not. To give an example siguro maybe getting roles, a nepo baby can get a certain role but ang tanong, can you sustain it? Do you have the talent? Can you give justice to the role? Parang ganun,” Cassy explained.

“Cassy and I accept the fact that we are kids of both an actor and an actress but it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a shortcut to it. At the end of the day, these producers, these directors still choose talents that would help give justice to the role that’s being given,” Mavy ended.
