MANILA — Long-time listeners of South Korean idol music would most likely be familiar with the works of Shinsadong Tiger, the hitmaker whose catchy creations catapulted a number of K-pop groups to fame.
The renowned producer, 40, was found dead at his recording studio last Friday (Feb. 23), according to a report by the Korea Herald. Details about the death, including its cause, remain unclear.
With a body of work spanning across "generations" of K-pop groups, the composer born Lee Ho-yang had a hand in creating popular tracks that served as gems in the discographies of a number of acts, such as girl groups T-ara, EXID and Momoland.

In recent years, Shinsadong Tiger worked as the chief producer for girl group Tri.be, which debuted in 2021 and is currently promoting its latest single "Diamond" (which he also composed).
