Team Vietnam at the 2026 AVC Women’s Cup. Volleyball World
CANDON, Ilocos Sur — Defending champion Vietnam and Kazakhstan are through to the semifinals of the 2026 AVC Women’s Cup.
Both countries remained unbeaten in Pool B action, with defending champion Vietnam edging out Iran, 25-20, 25-21, 27-25, and Kazakhstan sweeping cellar-dwelling Lebanon, 25-11, 25-19, 25-14, on Thursday at the Candon City Arena.
They are now 4-0 after four game dates, and will face each other in a high-octane match on Friday to determine the leader of Pool B.

Last year, Vietnam defeated Alas Pilipinas to win the gold, when the competition was still named AVC Nations Cup.
Meanwhile, the Philippines crashed out of AVC Cup, getting relegated to the classification phase after a straight-set 16-25, 14-25, 10-25 defeat handed by Chinese Taipei.
Only Chinese Taipei is assured of a Final Four berth, and the South Korea-Australia matchup later in the day would give more clarity to the picture in the tourney presented by the PSC, FIVB, AVC, Volleyball World and Candon City headed by Mayor Eric Singson.
