MANILA — Alyssa Valdez remained mum whether she would play again for the flag, but one thing's certain: "The Phenom" "will never get tired" of donning the national colors.
Valdez, 32, was reportedly tapped to play for Alas Pilipinas Women, as the 2025 national team core led by captain Jia de Guzman begged off from joining the training pool for the AVC Women's Cup in Candon, Ilocos Sur from June 6 to 14.

"I will never get tired of representing the country," Valdez said during a thanksgiving event on Wednesday in Makati.
The former national team skipper expressed willingness to contribute in her own ways, but added that she is not privy to further details in relation to the squad.
"Hopefully, hopefully, makatulong po tayo in our own little ways," she said. "'Yung mga details and every other things, pasensiya na po, wala rin po ako masyadong alam. But definitely, once we all have the answers, we will all let you know and sana maintindihan niyo po."
Being surrounded by younger talents, Valdez expressed excitement to play with the future of Alas Pilipinas.
"Napakasaya to be surrounded by young, talented girls. Hopefully, dumami pa rin. Sana talaga magtulung-tulungan din tayo in supporting these girls kasi... they deserve to be here."
