MANILA (UPDATED) — PLDT has secured a podium finish in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

The High Speed Hitters turned the switch in Set 5 to survive Farm Fresh, 25-14, 21-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-5, to win the bronze medal in the tourney, Thursday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

It was a follow-up win after their Game 1 triumph that also lasted for five long frames, 22-25, 25-21, 27-25, 26-28, 15-11, last Tuesday in the third-place series.

This marked PLDT's best finish in an All-Filipino tournament, and its first medal since winning the 2025 Invitational and 2025 On Tour.

Head coach Rald Ricafort found the silver linings in their bronze medal, after missing out on the title stage.

"Kahit papaano, thankful pa rin kami kasi milestone pa rin na nakuha namin 'yung third this time," he said.

Kianna Dy led the charge with 21 points on 14 attacks, six blocks, and one ace, including the third-place-clinching kill block in the fifth set, while Savi Davison expectedly put up 20 points to go with 10 digs. Kiesha Bedonia made her presence felt with 15 points, while Mika Reyes added 10 markers and four blocks.

Setting it all up was Kim Fajardo, who tallied 32 excellent sets, while libero-captain Kath Arado held the fort for PLDT's floor defense with 28 digs and 21 receptions.

Meanwhile, Farm Fresh concluded at fourth, still its best placement since its founding in 2023. Foxies' main gunner Trisha Tubu registered 23 points in the loss.
