MANILA — Savi Davison was a woman on a mission in Game 1 of the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference bronze medal series.
The Fil-Canadian ace erupted for 33 points off 30 attacks, powering the PLDT High Speed Hitters to a hard-fought 22–25, 25–21, 27–25, 26–28, 15–11 victory over the Farm Fresh Foxies on Tuesday.
She spearheaded a decisive 6–1 finishing run in the fifth set, punctuating her stellar outing with the game-winning kill to give PLDT a 1–0 lead in the best-of-three series.
For Davison, they just really "wanted it" as they took the opener, albeit in a five long sets.

"I think we've had a pretty tough journey leading up throughout the playoffs. So, we really came into this game really wanting it. You know, really wanting to redeem ourselves," said Davison.
They wanted to finish the all-Pinoy tourney "the right way," said the Fil-Canadian ace.
"And I think just the trust that I have on court with the girls. For everyone to do their roles, for everyone to back each other up and support each other. I think, you know, it's doing it for everyone else at this point," said Davison. "And just kind of finishing it off the season the right way."
The High Speed Hitters have a chance to close out the finish and finish on the podium this Thursday, April 23.
Another win in Game 2 would mean a podium finish for the Rald Ricafort-coached squad.
However, if the series will be tied by Farm Fresh at 1-1, and the championship was decided on the same game date, the result would be determined through the FIVB Ranking System.
