MANILA – Former National University star Alyssa Solomon has parted ways with Osaka Marvelous after one season.
In the announcement on its website, the team said Solomon and six other players will be parting ways with Osaka Marvelous, but did not give a reason.
Aside from Solomon, Samantha Francis, Lise Van Hecke, Airina Ogawa, Fuka Inoue, Nana Sakakibara, and Ameyo Miyabe will no longer be with Osaka Marvelous starting March 31.
Solomon joined the SV. League team last September 2025, after winning another UAAP Women's Volleyball crown with the NU Lady Bulldogs.
The Alas Pilipinas standout expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported in her first professional stint in Japan.
"This journey has been especially meaningful to me as it marks my first experience playing professionally and a big step in my career. It wasn't an easy decision, but it turned into one of the most rewarding chapters of my life," she said in a statement.
"I'm truly grateful for everything I've learned and for the moments shared with my teammates, coaches, and fans. Let's make this final stretch of the season special, and I hope you continue to support the team until the very end," Solomon added.
The former UAAP Finals MVP has yet to announce her next move.
