MANILA — PLDT remained spotless in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.
The High Speed Hitters dismantled Akari in four sets, 25-22, 25-27, 25-21, 25-15, on Thursday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan, bannered by five PLDT players in double-digit scoring.
Savi Davison, as usual, led the pack with 18 points and eight excellent receptions; Majoy Baron and Kianna Dy had 14 markers each, while Mika Reyes and Alleiah Malaluan had 10 points each.
Steering that balanced attack was Kim Fajardo, who registered 18 excellent sets, while Baron also had seven blocks, adding to PLDT's total of 13 rejections.

"Siguro ni-remind lang dun sa system na nira-run namin, na 'yon nga, kailangan talaga maraming variety sa attacks, at the same time mag-adjust kami dun sa ginagawa ng middles saka wings ni Akari," said coach Rald Ricafort during the postgame interview.
"Maganda rin talaga laro nila [Grethcel Soltones] nung start. Actually, lahat sila. Kaya, 'yun lang. Kailangan lang ng patience para mairaos hanggang sa endgame," he addedd.
After stumbling in Set 2, they got their groove back in the succeeding frames to nail the victory, keeping the Chargers winless.
In the clinching frame, Ricafort's wards started with a 13-4 lead, which later on ballooned to a 19-10 advantage—a huge lead to which the Chargers could not tear down anymore.
On the other hand, Grethcel Soltones' 16-point output led the Akari scoring, as Ivy Lacsina had 13 markers for the losing cause.
