MANILA — Creamline's Alyssa Valdez on Tuesday congratulated Capital1 rookie Bella Belen for winning the Philippine Sportswriters Association's Ms. Volleyball honor for year 2025.
Belen was given a moment on the court after the Solar Spikers' 25-21, 18-25, 25-18, 19-25, 15-10 escape of Choco Mucho in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference, receiving the trophy from members of the PVL Press Corps and the PSA.
Valdez, a three-time recipient of the award, shared the attributes she likes in Belen. The two are both three-time UAAP MVPs, and they also share the same birthday -- June 29.

"Congratulations to Bella for getting the Ms. Volleyball! Yey!" Valdez said in joy. "I am very excited na makatapat rin si Bella, more than her skills, I actually admire her character, personality on and off the court, talagang never say die, nandoon 'yung grit, 'yung disiplina."
Creamline, for its part, won against Zus Coffee, 22-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-18, to conclude the Tuesday double-header.
The Ateneo legend sees the former National U standout as someone whom the youth could admire as she "blossoms" further.

"I can't wait for her to blossom to be someone na mas iidolohin pa ng maraming kabataan."
As they face for the first time in PVL, the Creamline superstar hopes to give Belen a good fight.
"But our game this Saturday, very excited and looking forward na sana mabigyan namin siya ng magandang laban."
