MANILA – A volleyball legend is making her way back to the country.
Brazilian superstar Leila Barros will grace the Finals of the upcoming Philippine-hosted FIVB Men's World Championship 2025, as announced on the tournament page on Friday night.
"She’s the icon who once captured the hearts of Filipino fans — and now, she’s returning for the biggest volleyball event in our nation’s history," said the post.

Barros will be present during the Semifinal and Final matches, which will take place on September 27 to 28 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

She previously played in Manila during the 2000 FIVB Grand Prix, where she captivated the hearts of Pinoy volleyball fans.
Barros was also part of the Brazilian national team which won the bronze medals in the 1996 and 2000 Olympics
Her impending attendance was made possible through the invitation of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) President Ramon "Tats" Suzara, as added in the statement.
