MANILA -- Adamson University opens its bid for back-to-back crowns in the Shakey's Girls Volleyball Invitational League when it takes on Emilio Aguinaldo College on Wednesday at the La Salle Green Hills gym.
The Lady Baby Falcons and Lady Brigadiers Pool A match in the Division 1 competition will cap off a busy five-game schedule in Court 1 starting at 9 a.m.
Five pairings will also be played in Court 2 beginning at 9 a.m.
All eyes are on Adamson as they try to open the Rising Stars Cup on a bright note, with the Lady Baby Falcons aiming to become the first-ever back-to-back champion of the grassroots volleyball league.
Last edition’s holdovers Abegail Segui and Lhouriz Tuddao and UAAP Season 87 Rookie of the Year Ellaine Gonzalvo spearhead the Lady Baby Falcons' charge.

Adamson behind last year's MVP Shaina Nitura completed a flawless six-game tournament sweep without dropping a single set to rule the league backed by Mikasa, Asics, Team Rebel Sports, Belo Deo and Smart.
EAC will try to turn its fortunes around after an early exit in the previous contest, where it won only one game in four outings in the preliminary round.
Division 2 tussle between Assumption College-San Lorenzo and La Salle Green Hills in Pool E kicks off the games in Court 1, followed by the Pool F collision of Domuschola International School and St. Therese College-QC.
Also in Court 1 are the Division 1 matches between King's Montessori School and Arellano University High School in Pool C and St. John's Institute-Bacolod versus University of Santo Tomas in Pool D.
Firing off the competition in Court 2 is the University of the Philippines Integrated School and University of Sto. Tomas Pool D faceoff followed by the Bethel Academy-Chiang Kai Shek College match in Pool B before Lyceum of the Philippines University meets University of Perpetual Help System Dalta in Pool A.
The last two pairings in Court 2 are between Division 2 teams Immaculate Conception Academy and Assumption-Antipolo in Pool F and Miriam College and De La Salle-Zobel B in Pool E.
