The Philippines suffered heartbreak yet again, as Indonesia kept the nation away from the podium in the women's indoor volleyball competition of the 2025 Southeast Asian Games.
The Alas Women put up a gallant stand, but they fell to the Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi-led Indonesian side, 26-28, 25-13, 28-30, 24-26, in an intense four-set thrilling battle in the bronze medal match at the 33rd iteration of the biennial sporting showcase on Monday in Thailand.

Breaks of the game ultimately proved decisive, but in those three sets Indonesia won, Alas Women hung tight and fought with their hearts out.
This marks the Philippines' fourth consecutive loss to Indonesia in the third-place match since 2019, and a podium-less finish since 2005.
