MANILA (UPDATED) — Zus Coffee is the last unbeaten squad in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.
This, as the Thunderbelles clinched a 25-22, 25-21, 25-20 statement victory over Petro Gazz in Pool B, Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
The triumph extends their franchise-best start, going perfect in four matches to kick off a conference.
Before this, the Jerry Yee-mentored crew has only won against the Angels just once in their franchise history during the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference playoffs.
"Ako, very proud and also thankful sa lahat, sa bawat isa sa ’min talaga. Lahat naman kasi sa practice, talagang binibigay nila lahat ‘yung best nila," said setter Clo Mondoñedo after orchestrating Zus' plays with 23 excellent sets.

Anna DeBeer, usual culprit for Zus Coffee's attacks, powered her team with 23 points on 22 spikes, while rookie AC Miner followed with 11 points.
Veteran Jov Gonzaga, proving to be an irreplaceable presence for the Thunderbelles, had an all-around showing of nine points, nine excellent digs and six excellent receptions.
Only a one-point lead in Set 3, 17-16, riding on a 2-0 set lead, Zus Coffee found the 4-0 run that allowed them to pull away from the Angels for a 21-16 cushion.

Reinforcement Anna DeBeer's back-to-back hits powered the Thunderbelles to match point, 24-18, but Brooke Van Sickle and a Gonzaga net fault kept the Angels in the game, saving two match points.
But they finally found the close out as DeBeer fired the game-winning long shot.
"It’s a total team effort and I’m so grateful," said Gonzaga after the match.
For their part, the Angels suffered their second loss after winning back-to-back. They were paced by import Lindsey Vander Weide, who had 17 points and five excellent receptions, as two-time MVP Brooke Van Sickle chipped in 12 points, eight excellent digs, and five excellent receptions.
