MANILA (UPDATED) — Farm Fresh is enjoying its best start in its franchise history.
This, as the Foxies stayed unbeaten in three matches as they stopped Capital1 in four frames, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22, in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
With the win, they have emerged as leader of Pool A by far as they moved up to 3-0, while pushing the Solar Spikers down to 1-2.
Import Eli Rousseaux continued her stellar showing, firing 36 points on 33 attacks, two aces, and one block to lead all scorers, as Alohi Robins-Hardy steered that offense with 21 excellent sets to go with nine points.
Alyssa Bertolano did her part in the defense with 20 excellent digs and 13 excellent receptions, as Ces Molina and Trisha Tubu registered 13 points each to backstop the offense.
But more than the individual performances, Italian coach Alessandro Lodi said they prepared for Capital1 top rookie Bella Belen and import Oleksandra Bytsenko.
"We're a team that never gives up. We knew that it would be a tough game, absolutely. We were prepared for it. I mean, [Bella] Belen and [Oleksandra] Bytsenko are two hell of scorers, you know, and we knew that. So we knew it would be hard," expressed coach Alessandro Lodi during the postgame press conference.
Still, Bytsenko fired 26 points and Belen had 20 markers and 19 excellent digs. Libero-captain Roma Mae Doromal, who was stretchered off the court during their last match, shook off the scare and had 15 excellent digs and 21 excellent receptions.
Looking for the last push, 23-20, Rousseaux found the service ace Doromal could not dig to propel the team to match point, 24-20.
The Solar Spikers had one last hurrah, saving two match points, but Molina was there for the game-clinching into-the-block kill, wrapping up the game that lasted two hours and 18 minutes.
Farm Fresh stakes its pristine record against PLDT on October 25, while Capital1 aims for its second win against Cignal on Oct. 31.
