MANILA -- Filipina tennis star has Alex Eala secured a wildcard entry to the Miami Open main draw.
The 19-year-old Filipina tennis star is among the seven players granted a wildcard by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) for the event which kicks off on March 18 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Competing in a stacked 128-player field, Eala will enter the tournament as the third seed among wildcard entries.
Currently ranked No. 140 in the WTA, she reached a career-high ranking of No. 134 earlier this year.
With her aggressive baseline play and relentless determination, Eala will look to make a strong statement in Miami as she takes on some of the best players in the world.
