MANILA -- Filipino gymnastics star Carlos Yulo has progressed to the finals of the vault and floor exercise in the 53rd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.
These are the same events where he won gold in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris to make history for the Philippines.

Yulo scored 14.566 in the qualification for floor exercise, just behind Great Britain's Jake Jarman, who led with 14.700. American Kameron Nelson rounded out the top three with 14.300.
He topped the qualifying round in vault with an average of 14.750, followed by Armenia's Artur Davtyan followed with 14.566, while Ukraine's Nazar Chepurnyi placed third with 14.316.
Both finals are scheduled for October 25 at the Indonesia Arena in Jakarta, where Yulo will once again aim to bring home gold for the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the Men's All-Around Final is set to start on October 22.
