The Philippines' NBA 2K contingent, composed of Miguel Carlo “LGE_miguelcarlo” Hubillar, Chris “LGE_iLuvio-“ Briones, Kenneth “LGE_Clue-“ Gutierrez, Joshua “LGE_JMacc” Machado and Prich “LGE_DonP” Diez, was triumphant over Turkiye with scores of 64-62 and 68-60 in the first and second games, respectively, to become the world champions.
They bagged the country's first world NBA 2K title, after multiple finishes of fourth-place in the past.
"Mabuhay ang mga Pilipinong Kampeon!" said the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), as it celebrated eGilas' triumph in Doha Qatar.

It was a dominant campaign for the Filipino e-ballers, having dropped only one game in the whole tournament.
Hubillar was named Most Valuable Player, Gutierrez was Defensive Player of the Year, as the squad took home $20,000 in cash prizes. Turkiye placed second, while France completed the podium.
