MANILA — TNT head coach Chot Reyes lamented their missed opportunities and empty possessions in Game 7 of the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup Finals on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The Gin Kings slowly pulled away from the Tropang 5G, and it was all about the times when they could not convert, according to Reyes.

“The better team won,” said Reyes. “Wala akong masabi. They (Ginebra) played a great defensive game, and then we couldn’t score when we needed to.”
TNT only had a 35.1 field goal percentage, converting only 26 on 74 attempts, while the Gin Kings shot 42 percent on the field (34/81).
“Dami sana naming stops, we held them down to below 90, pero basketball, padamihan ng shoot, eh. Eh ‘di kami maka-shoot,” added Reyes.
Reyes added that the turning points were not having Jayson Castro and Chris McCullough’s foul trouble.
The Tropang 5G lost to the Justin Brownlee-led Gin Kings, 76-88, in the final game of the Commissioner’s Cup.
