Sources told ABS-CBN News that present Knights Jun Roque, Deo Cuajao, and Mark Omega, as well as alums Kobe Monje, Kint Ariar, and Ira Bataller will look to take the next step in their respective careers by joining the PBA.
The 6-foot-4, do-it-all forward Roque and 6-foot-5 bruising Omega — both former University of Perpetual Help stars — as well as the 6-foot-1 sniper in Cuajao, will join the September 7 proceedings but will also play for the Muralla-based squad in Season 101, one that would be their final collegiate year.
The NCAA allows its players to declare and join the PBA Draft while still exhausting their last year in the league.
On the other hand, Monje, Ariar, and Bataller have already moved on from Letran and have honed their skills in the MPBL.
The 6-foot-4 Monje and the 6-foot-3 Ariar — both NCAA Champions — are standouts for Valenzuela and Imus, respectively, while Bataller has played with Manila and Bacolod.
The Letran sextet will be looking to follow their fellow former Knights who have all successfully reached the PBA stage in the past two previous drafts.
Fran Yu, Louie Sangalang, Brent Paraiso, King Caralipio, and Tommy Olivario were all drafted in the Season 48 proceedings in 2023, while both Kurt Reyson and Pao Javillonar turned their dreams into reality the following year in Season 49.
