MANILA – FIBA has officially handed down its decision on the status of Quentin Millora-Brown.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas confirmed on Thursday that Millora-Brown has been classified as a local player under the FIBA Management and Administration Platform.

“We’re pleased with the update from FIBA because a player of his size and skill can make a positive impact for Gilas Pilipinas Men,” SBP President Al Panlilio said.

Millora-Brown played for the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons and won the UAAP Season 87 Championship during his only year playing basketball in the country.

He later suited up for the Macau Black Bears in a tune-up game against Gilas before the FIBA Asia Cup.

Last month, Millora-Brown said he was still classified as a naturalized player and an appeal was in the works.

With the development, the big man can suit up for Gilas Pilipinas as a local in their next tour of duty.

The Nationals will return to action in November, when they face Guam in the first window of the 2027 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
