PBA ImagesMANILA — No upset was completed on Friday night as TNT found Kelly Williams' vintage form to overcome a gritty Terrafirma crew, 109-95, in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
The 43-year-old Williams, turning back the arms of time, powered the Tropang 5G's escape, firing three of his eight made treys in TNT's 17-3 shellacking in the overtime period to snatch the Montalban triumph.

"We were lucky that Kelly bailed us out," coach Chot Reyes acknowledged after the intense match.
Williams produced a massive double-double of 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 8-of-13 clip from the rainbow arc, while the 5-foot-9 Jio Jalalon did the dirty work with 12 rebounds, eight assists, and seven markers.

RR Pogoy had 21 points and four assists, while Calvin Oftana and Rey Nambatac made their presence felt with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
The win kept TNT's winning run going, now at four games.
A 92-92 ballgame after regulation, the "Machine Gun" broke that deadlock with a triple just 15 seconds in overtime. He made another one from that distance to make it a 10-point lead, 102-92, and later on 105-95, keeping the Dyip at bay.
"If Kelly didn't hit all those three-pointers, then I don't think I would be sitting here right now [in the postgame press conference]," said Reyes.
On the other hand, the Dyip showed promise but could not pull off the upset. Jerrick Ahanmisi scored 26 points, including the two freebies that forced the extended frame.
