MANILA — Liberal Party senatorial candidate Kiko Pangilinan and his wife megastar Sharon Cuneta have voted in Cavite for the 2025 midterm elections
They arrived at Inchican Elementary School in Silang before 9:30 a.m. and waited in line for around two hours to vote.
“Maayos naman. Hindi naman magulo rito (It was orderly here),” Pangilinan said.
The former senator remains “calm” and is “hoping for the best” despite the results of recent surveys on the senatorial race.
Pangilinan is projected to come in 17th in a 12-seat race, according to the latest Social Weather Stations poll. Public opinion research firm WR Numero meanwhile projects him at 15th place.

“Sa akin, the surveys are noong araw na ‘yun mismo. Iba ‘yung araw ng eleksyon. Tingnan natin kung ano ang magiging pasya ng ating mga kababayan," he said
(The way I see it, surveys are valid for the time they were conducted. Election day is a different day. Let's see how our fellow Filipinos decide.)
He said that there have been several instances that candidates who were not at the top of surveys end up getting elected.
"Kalma-kalma lang (Let's just be calm)," he added.
The former senator is the former majority Liberal Party's only candidate for senator.
'IT'S UP TO GOD'
Pangilinan said he is leaving the election results to God, and will respect the decision of voters. But he hopes voters will support candidates based on facts, not disinformation.

“Ako naman naniniwala na siya ang magpapasya. Kung anuman ang resulta, we will have to respect,” Pangilinan said.

Should he win a Senate seat, Pangilinan plans to push for higher funding for the agriculture sector, and free breakfast for public school students from kindergarten to grade 12.
He also gave assurances that if he becomes a senator-judge in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, he “will uphold the rule of law”.
Sharon, for her part, thanked everyone, who supported her husband’s campaign.
“We just want to thank everybody, who supported Kiko… I hope that the public votes for him. When we lose, we leave it to God. It will not lessen naman our love and commitment,” she said.
