MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday presented to the media several videos which supposedly showed the transportation and payment of Vice President Sara Duterte's supporters who gathered at the EDSA Shrine.
PNP spokesperson BGen. Jean Fajardo said there was a logbook of those who allegedly received payment to attend the gathering. The supporters were allegedly promised P500, but some complained that they only received P200.

“There are some videos na lumalabas…na yung iba doon allegedly were transported from their barangays papunta doon sa lugar. Pinangakuan daw na babayaran sila at pakakainin and, in fact, ‘yong iba sa kanila ay nagrereklamo,” Fajardo told reporters.
As of 10 a.m. on Wednesday, there were still about 100 Duterte supporters at the EDSA Shrine.

“I understand they were allowed by the management of the EDSA Shrine, provided na ‘yong purpose kapag papasok sa chapel ay magdadasal sila at they are prohibited from engaging in any protest action, particularly inside the chapel. So, hindi rin sila pinayagan mag-overnight sa loob ng chapel,” Fajardo said.
On Tuesday, EDSA Shrine rector Rev. Jerome Secillano reminded churchgoers to practice proper decorum and avoid certain acts like eating, drinking, carrying slogans, sleeping, debating, and loitering inside the place of worship.
