In her attempt to confirm whether one of their targets, Mr. Chan (Mike Castillo), is inside the jewelry store they have been monitoring, Sam (Julia Montes) decides to enter the establishment and pose as a customer.
Not far from where the team of NCIA agents are positioned, Gabo (Coco Martin) and his friends are also keeping watch outside the store. He instructs the only female member of their group, Tekla (Sue Ramirez), to personally check inside by pretending to be a customer.
Sam is the first to enter the store and is immediately assisted by the attendants. She introduces herself as a jewelry dealer looking to purchase several pieces and asks if she can get a discount. While Sam examines some of the jewelry, Tekla suddenly enters and interrupts her conversation with one of the store attendants, eventually picking a fight with her.
As Tekla shows her tactless and loudmouthed nature, Sam does her best to remain calm and patient to avoid compromising her disguise and the team’s surveillance operation. The situation escalates when Tekla insists that she is not there to cause trouble because, like Sam, she is also a customer.
Their common target, Mr. Chan, eventually comes out of his office, giving Sam the opportunity to personally approach him and express her interest in making a business deal. While he orders the security guard to escort Tekla out of the store, Mr. Chan gives Sam his calling card containing his contact information and tells her to get in touch with him the next day or in the coming days, as he has an important business transaction scheduled that night at Jade Imperial.
Still at the entrance and arguing with the security guard, Tekla overhears their conversation and then quickly returns to her friends to relay the information she gathered. Meanwhile, Sam also alerts her teammates, who are stationed across the store, that Mr. Chan is about to leave.
