Within moments of discovering the shocking truth about her adoptive father, General Carillo (Bodjie Pascua), being the real reason behind the deaths of her parents, Lara (Bela Padilla) makes the choice to exact vengeance upon him.

She soon shows up at the general’s residence and quietly marches through the entrance until she shoots at each guard with no remorse. Lara eventually makes it to the dining room, where the busy General Carillo faces her in disbelief.

While Lara shakes with rage, the general toughens up, pointing out that she ought to be prepared enough to execute him. Lara then shouts at him about the way he deceived her right from the beginning when he took her in.

In an attempt to reason with her, General Carillo speaks of how he rescued Lara from the syndicates and provided her with a path to follow, but Lara is now convinced that he did so in order to make up for his crimes.

General Carillo declares that he intended for Lara to stand on the right side of history beside him, while Lara refuses to accept this, arguing that the general capitalized on her parents’ deaths as well as her resentment so that he could turn her into a loyal follower.

Repeating the denial, General Carillo places the blame on the system that they claim to be fighting, with Lara relentlessly calling him unhinged. Felix (Baron Geisler) arrives right at the precise moment, aiming a gun at her.

In spite of Felix’s tearful pleas for Lara to put off her plans, she turns around and gets ready to shoot. Left with no other option except his loyalty to the general, Felix shoots Lara to the ground. All together, General Carillo, Felix, and Raquel (Lei Ang) cry over Lara’s demise, even though they were the ones who never truly sympathized with her.

Will the truth about Lara’s death reveal itself to Marcus and Jalil? Find out in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8:45 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
